In Washington, there are museums and monuments to the contributions of Jewish-Americans, African-Americans, Native Americans, German-Americans, Japanese Americans, and others, as well there should be.
Yet Irish-Americans, who were present at every stage in America’s history, and made profound contributions to the development of this country, are not recognized anywhere in our nation’s capital. We believe there should also be an institution recognize and explore the contributions of the Irish to the United States. |

The vision for such a Museum is for an interactive exploration of a wide range of cultural and historical aspects of the Irish-American experience. Some aspects of the Museum experience
may include:

The IACI is currently exploring the feasibility and take
appropriate steps to progress toward making the Museum
of Irish America a reality. While we recognize
this is a sizeable project, we believe it is important
that the Irish American Cultural Institute begin the
process. Yet such an institution will not be
established without the collaboration of the entire
Irish American community.
